The article is devoted to half-finished grooved cheek-pieces that were found among the materials of the multi-stratum settlement of Lebyazhinka V in Krasnoyarsk district of Samara region. In comparison with shield cheek-pieces, the grooved ones are rare findings but the half-finished cheek-pieces are even rarer. The findings of the Lebyazhinka V settlement were dropped at the initial stages of their making that permits us to investigate traces of the very first operations of skilled bone carvers. The half-finished grooved cheek-pieces from the Lebyazhinka V settlement supplement a very small group of similar artifacts from different regions of the Eurasian steppe.
