This paper investigates the education of registered nurses, using different approaches of an emergent, ideographic and reconstructive multi method nature. This process culminated in the reconstructive analysis of voiced opinions enabling an explicit presentation of pretheoretic knowledge by applying Habermas' maieutic process on the Theory of Communicative Action.
