Methodological course in the cataloging, digitization and preservation of the ecclesiastical books of the Parish of Nossa Senhora da Vitória, Termo de Oeiras-Piauí

Abstract

The concern with the wear of documentary sources produced in Piauí between the nineteenth century led us to elaborate an extension project with the intention of collecting, mapping and congregating a number of researchers to join efforts to preserve the collection through its conversion to the digital format. For this purpose, we intend, through this article, to outline the activities carried out and the process that culminated in the organization, digitization and preservation of a set of documents produced by the Catholic Church throughout the 19th century, specifically the manuscripts kept in the Parish of Nossa Senhora da Vitória, Diocese of Oeiras, in the Piauí.
