DEVELOPMENT OF MOTIVATIONAL POTENTIAL OF COLLEGE STUDENTS IN THE CONTEXT OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE ACQUISITION
Abstract
The article discusses motivation development of college students in the course offoreign language training. The authors present generalized views on kinds and aspects of motivation. The features of perception and the level of motivation to the study offoreign languages depending on the students' major subject area are revealed. The results of the research allow determining the directions for improving the educational process in the context of increasing motivation towards learning foreign languages. Content-based instruction, non-traditional forms of conducting classes, and implementation of active teaching methods are regarded as motivation enhancing both by teachers and students.
