Impact Of Mentoring Process To Nurse Management
Abstract
Mentoring is a process which avail to bridge between training process and real life experience. Mentoring concept is a management mentality which discovers individual's potential, maintains to explore strong and weak traits of them, increases motivations and performances of them, develops leadership skills of them, accelerates personel evolution process, introduces how to cope with difficulties, protects individual against unnecessary risks.Mentoring is a method which increases working satisfaction, decreases that nurses feel worthless and weak themselves. When nurse management understand importance of mentoring in their work environment they improve job satisfaction,maintain more effective health care, and bring about increasing of more qualified health care outcomes. In this eclectic article it was aimed that it would be defined mentoring in theoretical framework and ıit would be emphasized impotance of that nurse managers internalize this mentality in nurse manegement services.As managers approve necessity of having a new role anymore, they adopt ' development,mentoring'approach in stead of 'command, control' approach for new roles. More comfortable orientations of young employees to institution and institution culture are actualized by guidances of their superiors. Concequently,nowadays,mentoring is situated in services which bring about great positives either institutions or individuals.
