Review of: A Journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow: A Photograph Album / Emmanuel Waegemans, Vim Kudenis; photographs by Vim Kudenis; transl. from Dutch by D. Silvestrov. — Moscow: KoLibri, Azbuka-Attikus, 2013. — 112 p. by E. Waegemans, V. Kudenis. In her review of A Journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow: A Photograph Album by E. Waegemans and V. Kudenis the author analyzes the main topics touched upon by the Belgian Slavicists when considering A. Radishchev’s A Journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow in the wide context of contemporary Russian life. The author of the review makes an attempt to answer the question about the peculiarities of European researchers’ perception of Russian reality starting with Empress Catherine II’s epoch and why this view does not always coincide with that of Russian people.
