Imagens que resistem: direito à memória e à história a partir do filme Corumbiara (1986-2009)
Abstract
This article seeks to problematize the struggle for ethnic rights of isolated indigenous people in southern Rondônia, a state in northern Brazil. From the film Corumbiara (2009), by Vincent Carelli, it follows the bet on choices and destinies of historical subjects devalued in the country, when not massacred, as in the 1985 episode, presented in the documentary. This production is also inserted as a source in the field of the historicity of the resistance of native peoples, since the images and recorded dialogues instructed a judicial process of interdiction of the area against those violences.
