In the late eighteenth century is presented in Spain a change in the ro- yal family because in the war of succession trump the interests of the Bourbons over the Hapsburgs which represents a change not only in the royal dynasties but in the economic Conception that must govern the Spanish colonies. The Habsburgs considered its overseas posses- sions as kingdoms while the Bourbons will incorporate the concept of colonies, a concept that will bring a new economic concept that can be summarized by saying that the overseas possessions must be economically profitable for the Kingdom. This new concept leads to implement new administrative structures and a tax regime that will be very costly for all socioeconomic groups who inhabited the Hispanic America, which will lead to confronta- tions between local groups and the authorities, those confrontations will become a widespread movement against the mandates of the Spa- nish Crown. Among these uprisings we should consider the events in the province of Antioquia in 1781, because it is not a confrontation against the central power, but a confrontation between different so- cioeconomic groups that inhabited the region.
