Paris has welcomed and nurtured Pham Van Ky since he left Vietnam to study abroad. That city was crucial in the writer’s reflections and became a symbol of his quest for harmony between East and West. In the Pham Van Ky Fund of the National Library of France, the typescripts of some twenty unpublished novels are kept. Paris, qu’as-tu fait de nous? is one of the longest texts. What Paris inspires to the author is the subject of this story. Our analysis in this article will focus on the study of the two preserved typescripts of this novel, then we will show the aspects of (re)conciliation between the East and the West that are approached there.
