The criteria of elective courses on translation for senior profile school students' analysis

Abstract

The paper tackles the issue of defining the criteria of elective courses on translation for senior profile school students’ analysis. The notion of ‘elective course’ has been defined. The types of the elective courses in foreign languages for senior profile school’s students have been described. The requirements for their contents have been outlined. The principles both general and specific ones have been scrutinized. The author suggests the criteria for the elective courses analysis that can be used for evaluating quality of the courses aimed at teaching translation to senior profile school’s students.
