Abstract

Ambience/environment photography is a recurrent document in the collections of archaeological missions and research projects. Despite its interdisciplinary richness, it is often poorly processed, insufficiently documented and too rarely shared. This brief article attempts to take stock of the issue and the challenges and perspectives associated with it.
