Scientific research is not useful when its results are reported incompletely or incoherently. It is useless to invest a great effort in the process of reporting and dissemination of its results fails. Results are useless for the scientist or for the clinician in his daily practice. Nor for decision-makers and less for patients. It has been shown that some of the problems of current research, such as lack of reproducibility or poor utility, are due to an inappropriate report (1). These deficiencies make it difficult or impossible to accurately assess what the research did, to judge the evidence of the present findings, or to put it into context with respect to the current literature (2). As a result, frequently published studies are not useful for patient care (3).
