Ayyavazhi marriage is a custom in the Ayyavazhi faith system of South India. Usually, the trustees, the servants themselves or an experienced elder in Ayyavazhi assume the role of guru and sit down with the bride and perform the wedding ceremony. Like Hinduism, the system of marriage in Ayyavazhi has deep significance and meaning. It is seen as a sacred part of life. Family life is also taught as a primary austerity in the marriage blessing song. Weddings in the Ayya way usually take place at home while marriages take place in wedding halls.
