The article is devoted to the functioning of student interest clubs as an effective extra-curricular form of work with students in quarantine conditions. In connection with the pandemic and the introduction of quarantine, the possibility of carrying out extracurricular work with students has become more difficult, which plays an important role in the formation of democratic values and spirituality in them, without which it is impossible to achieve high quality and efficiency of higher education. This form of work with students is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the educational process, the quality of teaching, fostering the culture of students, and also ensures an increase in their social activity and responsibility and reveals the creative potential of students. Based on the analysis of international regulatory legal acts and Ukrainian legislation regarding the activities of student clubs in conditions of quarantine and the European experience of the functioning of clubs, student interest clubs were considered as an effective form of extracurricular activities. Since Internet resources have appeared in modern society that make the educational process truly complete and comprehensive, the most convenient and most accessible form of work with students is remote - as an ideal solution in situations where there are obstacles to the normal functioning of educational institutions and extracurricular work. Accordingly, the peculiarities of the organization of the activity of student clubs in the conditions of quarantine were established on the basis of their characteristics and forms of organization of activity on the example of the Poltava National Pedagogical University named after V. G. Korolenko. According to this, the basic principles of organizing the activities of a student club by interests are described and student clubs are identified as a place for socialization of students, exchange of experience and opinions, which contributes to the improvement of their knowledge in various fields of activity, intellectual development and personality formation. The exclusive role of clubs is to create a team in which intellectual communication of young people is organized on topical issues with the aim of self-development and exchange of information and the possibility of psycho-emotional relaxation.
