Breeding self-pollinated plants
Abstract
This presentation aims to discuss strategies to increase the efficiency of selection in self-pollinated plants. One of thestrategies is the use of mixed models in order to appropriate genealogy information on the method of pedigree and through thesequential analysis in evaluation tests of progeny in several environments/generation. It is also discussed the use of multiline as analternative to extend the life of a cultivar.
