The purpose of this article is to share nursing experience of using the apical approach for transcatheter aortic valve replacement surgery to treat a patient with severe aortic insufficiency. A comprehensive nursing process was established, including early psychological intervention to alleviate negative emotions, preoperative evaluation and preparation by a multidisciplinary team, close monitoring of the patient's condition and team cooperation during surgery, refined postoperative care, and staged cardiac rehabilitation training. The comprehensive nursing plan was conducted to ensure the success of surgery and improve postoperative recovery of the patient.
