O artigo apresenta as linhas mestras dopensamento do jurista italiano Santi Romano sobreo direito internacional e o impacto do mesmona cultura jurídica européia. Em particular, analisaos pressupostos da teoria do ordenamento jurídicointernacional desenvolvida por Romano e seusdiscípulos na Itália do segundo pós-guerra.This article presents the guidelines ofthe thought of the Italian lawyer Santi Romanoon the international law, and its impact on theEuropean legal culture. In particular, it analysesthe assumptions of the theory of the legal systemof international law developed by Romano andhis disciples during the second Pos-war in Italy.
