Thulium fiber laser treatment of renal and ureteral stones

Abstract

Objectives: To demonstrate the ureteroscopic treatment of renal stones with the thulium fiber laser including optimal settings and technical considerations. Patients and Surgical Procedure: Several patients with stones in the ureter and kidney are reviewed during the treatment with the thulium fiber laser. Results: All stones were successfully treated. Conclusions: Careful attention should be paid to both the laser settings and the technique during thulium fiber laser lithotripsy of renal and ureteral stones to ensure the best outcomes.
