The Fulminating Course of Infection Caused by Shewanella algae: A Case Report

In this case, we report a Shewanella algae infection that caused sepsis, renal insufficiency, cardiac dysfunction, fistula and massive pleural effusion after surgery in a 73-year-old man with cancer of the esophagus and cardia.Keywords: Shewanella species, Shewanella algae, fulminating course, malignancy, sepsis
