Dialogues et transformations : la restitution dans les sciences du langage
Abstract
The question of "feedback" to the field is seldom addressed in research publications in the field of language sciences, as evident when reviewing literature in this discipline. This situation raises a number of questions: since feedback practices and interventions are more and more common in research involving fieldwork, why is there little academic discourse articulated around this question of "feedback" to the field? Where can researchers and practitioners find resources to design and appraise transfer activities? What forms can feedback and restitution take and what can be the content of these activities? This contribution examines some of the challenges that feedback raise for the field of applied linguistics discussing some actual practices of restitution from our own work.
