This work aim make some speculations about one of the most controversial ideas present in the first work of Wittgenstein, namely, the mystical. We try to elucidate this concept, comparing it with the religious mysticism characterized by William James in The Varieties of Religious Experience. Such comparison is necessary, in our view, so that we can clarify some peculiarities of the mystic tractatiano, developing a more accurate perception of the importance of this concept in the Tractatus. In our view, it is not a free theme in such work, by contrast, is logical consequence of the meeting of the subject to the limits of language, presented through of the logical analysis of the proposition. We try, thus, in this work was to elucidate how the mystic of the Tractatus resembles and differs from religious mysticism.
