The purpose of the present study was to investigate the factors mitigating the Afghan security crisis and the strengthening of Iran's relations with Afghanistan. The research was conducted using inferential analysis in the framework of descriptive and analytical method. The results show that in Afghanistan, a complex and multilayered combination of economic factors, socio-religious structures, and political and legitimacy factors has triggered a security crisis. Iran can adopt an economic and cultural approach to relations with the countries of the region to strategically align with Afghanistan and maintain its security environment while avoiding disagreements, cultural differences and economic needs of the two sides. In fact, at this point in time, Iran needs a great deal of forethought, rational planning and diplomatic skill to achieve the degree it deserves, and its exceptional advantages in the region. Iran must first seek to regionalize existing security measures. Paying attention to isolated national security on the one hand and the imposition of international security measures on the other hand does not guarantee Iran's national security and sometimes even threatens it.
