Apollinaire vivant
Abstract
In this article, Diego Valeri underscores the importance and appreciation for the poet Apollinaire as well as his influence on French poetry. He introduces four unpublished books and other poems published after his death, proving that the title André Billy gave to his essay, Apollinaire vivant, was even more meaningful at the time, rather than when it was originally published. Valeri highlights the value of the poet through several examples that allows us to classify Apollinaire as a great poet and a great artist. In addition, Valeri does not fail to emphasise the devotion of the poet to Italy.
