At the beginning of the 20th century, the playwright Jacinto Benavente created a "Children's Theater," an innovative project for which he wrote a work that became very popular in Spain: El príncipe que todo lo aprendió en los libros (1909). After a brief presentation of the historical context, this article recalls the main characteristics of this "Children's Theater" and analyzes the cited work.
