Mathematical simulation of two-phase gas-liquid flow for jet aeration structures
Abstract
The problem of the motion of an aerated submerged jet into stationary fluid mass is investigated. The equations of balance of mass, momentum and forces of interface interaction are solved numerically by finite-difference method. Jet propagation path and maximum depth of submergence of the air bubbles are calculated for various Froude numbers. The results are compared with available experimental data.
