Female sexual dysfunction andurinary discomfort

Abstract

We observed a group of patients (35 women of mean age around 30). Within 7 weeks of a1-blocker (doxazosin 0,5–4 mg daily in combination with M-anticholinergic (trospium chloride 45 mg per day) therapy was conducted. Clinical picture of micturition disorders, quality of life and sexual activity of women was evaluated by means of tables. After the treatment, it was noted that urinary disorders ceased to have effect on the sexual life of patients. High efficiency correction of urinary disorders was confirmed in catamnesis up to 2 years after therapy discontinuation. Analysis of the symptoms dynamics and the results obtained showed that female sexual dysfunction as well as urinary disorders is one of the clinical manifestations of disorders of the lumbar spinal cord thickening.
