Religious Education, the educator-student relationship and the Common National Curriculum Base - BNCC and the Minas Gerais Reference Curriculum - CRMG
Abstract
Religious Education had a fundamental paradigmatic turn in the 1970s with Wolfgang Gruen, by distinguishing Catechesis and Religious Education - RE. He conceived religiosity for the RSE, from Tillich, as an anthropological category and as a teaching object by educating through the dimension of life's meanings, which includes the religious phenomenon. This historical and epistemological turn, even unknown to many researchers, currently has enormous significance, especially with the National Common Curricular Base - BNCC and the curriculum that each state of the federation has developed, such as the Referential Curriculum of Minas Gerais - CRMG. Gruen already acted and thought (1970s) of Religious Studies (UFJF) as a formative course for teachers in this curricular component. The objective of this article, based on bibliographic and documentary research, is to recover this history and reflect upon its implications regarding the teacher-student relation, referencing the BNCC and CRMG. The conclusions show Gruen's innovation and how he was attentive to the issues of the time and to great educators like Paulo Freire.
