Statistical Analysis the inflation in the Republic of Uzbekistan: challenges and ways overcoming them

Abstract

The research considers the state of inflationary processes in Uzbekistan over the last five years, forecasting for the near future, as well as changes in the mechanism of formation of the key indicator relating to inflation: consumer price index. It is noted that currently the main emphasis in reforming price statistics is shifted towards the introduction of modern technologies and improving the quality of source data. The purpose of the paper is to highlight the recent changes and achievements in the field of consumer price statistics and to emphasize the key directions of further reforming of this sphere. In the course of the research actual materials provided by the Statistical Agency under the President as well as methods of comparative, system analysis, and modern methods of work with web-sites were used. The main vectors for further development of the branch in order to improve the sphere concerning price statistics in the Republic of Uzbekistan have been determined. The special importance of assessment inflationary processes in the consumer sector is noted, recent achievements and perspectives regarding the development of consumer price statistics are reflected.
