Master plan of Maricá/RJ: considerations to the next review (2006 – 2008)

Abstract

This article originated from the dissertation presented by one of the authors to the Civil Engineering Post-graduate Program at Universidade Federal Fluminense, 2006. Having as topic of study the Master Plan of the City of Maricá, the study proposed the directed use of urban policy instruments found in the City Statute as tools for the local sustainable development. After approval of Complementary Law n. 145, October, 2006, suggestions are presented on how to adapt the content of such plan for its first review planned for 2008.
