Purpose: This research was done with the aim of knowing Iran's defense damage during World War II and providing strategies to prevent their repetition in the future.Method: This applied-developmental research was done by using the analysis of historical documents and using the method of developing the strategy of the National Defense University and relying on the opinions of defense experts.Findings: The damage and losses of the Second World War to our country were very dangerous and its consequences have plagued the people of this region for many years. Therefore, their recognition and preventive foresight can prevent the country from repeating the aforementioned conditions. Conclusion: The results of the research show that the major damage to Iran in the Second World War includes 1) the lack of decisiveness in decision-making and the hesitancy of the country's first person, the absence of a minister in the Ministry of Defense, and the confusion and weakness of management in the army and diplomacy Defense and politics of the country, 2) weakness and commitment against the two superpowers of the time, 3) surprise and lack of strategy against the invasion of the allies, 4) lack of spontaneous resistance of the people due to the repression of the nomads and the distance of the people from the government and the diminution of its role. in the defense of the country resulting from the policy of desegregation and dictatorship of the government and the spread of alienation and the atmosphere of terror and despair in the society, 5) the lack of readiness of the army to confront the foreign enemy due to the weakness in training and professionalism, lack of organizational integrity and cohesion, weakness in loyalty, motivation and morale of employees, 6) The absence of political elites at the head of the political system
