A raíz de un divisor argénteo de probable atribución a Malaka aparecido junto a un tartemorion gaditano en Cástulo
Abstract
This paper documents the fortuitous discovery of a silver fraction, possibly attributable to Malaka, that appeared alongside a tartemorion of Gadir in the vicinity of the Iberian-Roman city of Castulo, in the Cortijo de Cazlona (Linares, Jaén). The finding of these two joint pieces indicates that both were contemporary in circulation as well as, very probably, in emission. Also, the article collects all the silver fractions assigned to Malaka known so far. Finally, a first approximation to the serialization and the study of the dies used by this currencies is undertaken.
