The Brazilian magazine Inimigo Rumor was published from 1997 to 2007, during which time the publication established itself as an important landmark for the production and discussion of poetry in Brazil. In its twenty issues, Inimigo Rumor accepted the imperative of « plurality », a term used by Haroldo de Campos to describe the poetry situation after the last avatars of the Brazilian and international avant-garde of the 1950s and 1960s. I interpret the trajectory of Inimigo Rumor as the adventure of this critical idea, which has become a feature of recent literary history in Brazil. With the strengthening of an ethos succeeding the avant-gardes, this poetry review can be understood as a place of experience both of the opening and closing of the principle of plurality in contemporary Brazil.
