Influence de l’utilisation des appareils numériques sur les résultats scolaires des élèves inscrits précocement
Abstract
Today, the proliferation of information and communication technologies (ICTs) makes digital devices accessible. This phenomenon does not spare childhood. As soon as a child is born, he or she is immersed in a flood of digital devices. Even before the age of six, children are using these tools for a wide range of activities, from play to education. As a result, children appear to be increasingly precocious, and parents are quick to enroll them in school before they have reached the official age, which in Burkina Faso has been set at six since 2007. The aim of this article is to analyze the influence of digital technology on the academic performance of early entrants to preparatory class. To achieve this, we used a quantitative method. The results obtained show that the use of these devices contributes to the academic success of the children who use them. However, these children need to be accompanied and guided when using them. What's more, the activities children carry out on these devices need to be supervised by parents or an informed adult.
