Starting from a recent volume issued by the Romanian researcher Constantin Schifirneţ, the author tries to prove the inadequacy of the term brand to the Romanian culture and civilization as it belongs to the so-called notion of the "forms without a content" deviced by the Romanian critic titu Maiorescu in the 19 th century already.
