DIFFERENCES IN THE WAYS OF RECEIVING THE BALL BETWEEN GUARDS AND FORWARDS, PARTICIPANTS ON THE OLYMPIC GAMES „BEIJING 2008“
Abstract
Activity of basketball players before coming into possession of the ball, is conditionally divided into backcourt and frontcourt. It was found that basketball players at both positions (guards and forwards) in the backcourt received the ball on seven, and frontcourt on eight ways. The sample survey consists ten games of the Olympic Games "Beijing 2008". Number of players whose activity was analyzed was 38 at the position of the guards and 35 at the position of the forwards. Based on the univariant analysis of variance (ANOVA) significant statistical differences i is determined in 10 ( of possible 15) method in receiving the ball between guards and forwards. In the backcourt and frontcourt is determined five differences (of possible 7 in backcourt and 8 in frontcourt) in the ways of receiving the ball. In most activities dominated guards.
