Abstract
Abstract This resource is a problem-based learning (PBL) case that focuses on a 5-year-old patient that presents with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and Becker's muscular dystrophy. The case was written to be processed over two or three sessions and is suitable for first- or second-year students. Learning objectives for first-year students may concentrate on the genetics and molecular defect, while second-year students may focus on the pathophysiology of muscle disease and multi-organ involvement in the disease.
