After the age of 45, one woman out of two is affected by genital prolapse. The prolapse manifests as a sensation of weight in the lower side of the abdomen, sometimes accompanied by urinary disorders. Purpose. This study aimed to correct the genital prolapse in menopausal women, associated with urinary incontinence. Results. At the end of the research, the authors believe that physical therapy can be applied with remarkable results to women in special situations. Conclusions. The physical therapy intervention for genital prolapse during menopause can delay the surgery and at the same time it can diminish the symptoms of prolapse and urinary incontinence.
