Introduction and implementation of ESRS in Croatia : Uvajanje in implementacija ESRS na Hrvaškem

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to present the entire procedure which was done by the State Geodetic Administration and the Faculty of Geodesy University of Zagreb in last decade, in order to introduce and implement the new modern geodetic reference system in the Republic of Croatia. Beside the new positional datum, based on European Spatial Reference System, the introduction of new vertical and gravimetric datums, as well as new cartographic projections aredescribed too. Problems connected with the transformation between the old and the new datums, as well as the implementation of the new reference system are also being considered.
