Objectives Online counseling is an integral part of traditional counseling. It never broke away from its roots, nor became independent. It is an enrichment of the possibility of helping other people in other than traditional conditions and in a way that takes into account the needs and habits of modern society. The aim of the study is to investigate how online counseling can be used in the conditions of crisis changes. Material and methods In order to achieve this goal, the technical possibilities and social readiness for this type of assistance were analyzed. The review and analysis of experiences in the field of online counseling and support was used to assess the possibilities of developing these forms of supporting society in the time of the pandemic crisis Results Especially in the last two socially difficult years, the demand for remote psychological counseling and help has increased. The ability to support children and adults via the Internet has also increased significantly. Conclusions The competences of educators, psychologists and social workers should be developed so that they can properly use the potential of online guidance.
