This paper aims to study the effect of adding Ti element on the structure, phase, microhardness and wear resistance of AlCoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy coatings. The AlCoCrFeNi and AlCoCrFeNiTi0.5 high-entropy alloy coatings were prepared by laser cladding technology on the surface of pure iron, and the phase composition, microstructure, microhardness, wear resistance and wear morphology of the coatings were analyzed using scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction, microhardness tester and friction and wear testing machine. Results showed that the phase composition of AlCoCrFeNiTi0.5 high-entropy alloy coating included Co3Ti,AlFe solid solution phase and Al80Cr13Co7 complex phase, presenting a typical network-like spinodal decomposition structure with uniform composition, which was better than the structure of AlCoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy coating.Meanwhile, the average microhardness of the AlCoCrFeNiTi0.5 high-entropy alloy coating reached 989 HV4.9 N,which was 32% higher than that of AlCoCrFeNi coating, and the wear extent declined by 85%.
