Abstract

The essay suggests a brief archeological imagine of ancient Rome through the eyes of artists of the Renaissance, from Donatello to Domenichino. In order their moral inspiration by the religious legend and story the entire profile of monuments and ruins, that we appreciate still standing today, appears studied between the new buildings of imagine of modern Rome or, as the old St.Peter, that doesn't exist anymore.
