ANÁLISE DO TEMA VIROLOGIA EM LIVROS DIDÁTICOS DE BIOLOGIA DO ENSINO MÉDIO
Abstract
The study of the viruses provides basic and applied knowledge to be used in people's daily actions seeking to improve the life quality concerning the collective health. However, there is a very big lack of studies that analyze those concepts in the high school textbooks. This research analyzed the main concepts of the Virology in high school Biology textbooks most used at the schools of Aracaju, Sergipe state. The analysis was made with emphasis in the verification of conceptual mistakes and in a possible consideration of the students' previous knowledge. The books presented problems regarding the employed concepts and contextualization. The obtained results indicate the need of reformulation and updating of those didactic resources for helping in the teaching of Virology.
