Many clinical trials demonstrate that demonstrate drug-eluting stents (DES) can improve procedural success in patients with acute coronary syndromes, with a remarkable reduction in the rate of restenosis. On the other hand, it has been shown that stenting can also increase the rate of thrombotic complications including stent thrombosis. We describe a case of a 62-yaers-old male with angina. Four weeks after the insertion of a drug-eluting stent, the patients was admitted to our Emergency Department with asthenia.
