We resorted to qualitative research in psychology and to cartography as a method. Long interviews were conducted with ten (10) bio-women - women in biological terms, women with a female sexual organ (PRECIADO, 2008) - which resided and/or worked in the surveyed municipality, but varied in educational background, race/color and time dedicated to prostitution. Through Cultural Studies and Queer Theory, we noted the use of different classifications by our participants, revealing important personal positions and political struggles of these women in society and in the very practice of prostitution, as well as the deconstruction of a universal identity of the prostitute woman.
