«Acrobati del tempo». Anders, Pasolini e l’efficacia della profezia
Abstract
This article reflects on the political efficiency of prophecy by distinguishing two types of prophetic speech, assertive and inducive, based on a singular parable narrated by Günther Anders in Die beweinte Zukungt. There, Noah is represented as announcing the imminence of the Flood to his fellow human beings; this condition is similar to ours today, as we are warned, not by God but by so many scientific reports, of a planetary environmental catastrophe. This distinction between two types of prophetic speech also helps us understand the peculiar features of Pasolini’s words and what makes them so different from those of other Apocalypse announcers of his time.
