Theis article is devoted to the analysis of the actions taken by China, India, the Republic of Korea, Japan and Singapore in the Arctic. Currently, the arctic ambitions of these countries are being reinforced by their financial, economic, scientific and technological capabilities. Active participation in the functioning of the working groups of the Arctic Council provides these countries with the capability to closely monitor the processes and changes occurring in the Arctic, allows them to more profoundly evaluate the issues related to the Arctic, the alignment of forces in the council and their place in the main areas of its activities and development. The most important objectives of Asian countries in the Arctic are to have the freedom to continuously observe the consequences of climate change in the Arctic region, as well as to have access to its abundant natural resources and transport systems.
