We present a research in the area of the advisory function, whose study we approach across 2 case studies on 2 teachers training advisersʼ expert knowledge and competencies, who are specialists in English and working at a Teachers Training Centre. An expert knowledge that we analyze from the declared knowledge and the knowledge in the action. Both types of knowledge have become explicit across the analysis of advisersʼ verbalizations and across the analysis of their practice. Departing from the above mentioned analysis, there have been analyzed the specific and general competencies that stand out in the development of the training actions carried out by these advisersand. We refined and presented both knowledge and competences by using concept maps.
