Applıcatıon Of The Posıtıoner Applıance After The Completıon Of Orthodontıc Treatment

Abstract

Conventional retainers are routinely used after the completion of active phase of orthodontic treatment to maintain the alignment of the teeth passively. The positioner appliance is used to guide teeth into more ideal positions actively after the cessation of orthodontic treatment. Use of the positioner appliance as an active retainer has been described.
