The aim of this study was to test the causal relationship between school connectedness and academic performance with the mediating role of bullying and victimization among boys and girls in middle schools of Shiraz. For this purpose, 564 secondary school students were selected through multi-stage random cluster sampling; and they completed research tools, including the Illinois Bullying Scale and the student perceptions of school cohesion scale. The results-using structural equation modeling -showed that overall; all path coefficients were statistically significant.
