Openbite is a common type of malformation, which is difficult to treat, requires long course of treatment, and is likely to recur after orthodontic treatment. In this article, we reported a 20-year-old female case of severe anterior tooth openbite. Clinical examination found no occlusal contact between the anterior teeth, and the maximum opening was approximately 8 mm. Panoramic radiograph showed that 11 was impacted between 12 and 21. For the reduced maxillary bilateral central incisors, the straight wire arch appliance was utilized for 25 months, and the multi-curved square wire arch technique combined with implant treatment were employed to improve the occlusal relationship after the correction, establish normal overlying of the anterior teeth, and enhance the appearance. Clinical data of this case and literature review were analyzed and summarized, aiming to explore the orthodontic treatment for openbite cases and provide reference for individualized orthodontic treatment.
